Coconut Grove Residence

Environmentally conscience, this private residence offers solar panels and rain collection and gray water system.   In addition to responding to the intense Florida sun and monsoon rain climate,  this design helps contribute to the local Florida Key West sense of place and architectural culture. Additional consideration for sustainability were applied by tuning the size, location and orientation of windows and doors and overhangs to maximize daylighting without over heating the home in the subtropical sun.
